SS15 balcony inspiration

the sun has been shining over london town this weekend…

all this glorious weather got me thinking ahead to summer – which for me, means spending a lot of time outdoors. we’re lucky enough to have a decent sized balcony coming off the living room of our flat. at the moment it doesn’t have any furniture, or decor, as we moved in during winter months and have hardly been out there.

today i was in the mood for some creative planning and i’ve been having a look at SS15 balcony inspiration over on pinterest to start me off. here are a few of my top picks.

okay so a balcony is not the same as a garden, but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be floral. i love this rustic-boho look and think i’ll definitely be investing in some lavender in wooden crates for our balcony.

candles and festoon lighting really set the scene for a relaxing summer evening vibe, even on smaller balconies – a must have for me!

i love the chilled boho vibe of this patio which could work equally as well on a small balcony. the diy seating area makes for a comfy summer time snug – ideal for chilling out in the sun with a coffee and a good read.
